As the academic year starts the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) congress comes back. As in the last editions, I was lucky enough to be invited to deliver a lecture about ‘Measuring the biomechanics of the cornea’ for the Visual Optics course in the Session on Imaging of the Human eye.

ESCRS, as any other big research gathering, it’s a very nice occasion to catch up with research colleagues. In the pic, from left to right, Jos. J Rozema (Antwerp University, Belgium), Jose Manuel González-Meijome (Minho University, Braga) and Kristina Irsch (Institut de la Vision, France).

Additionally, this time the ESCRS took place in London. My last time visiting London was exactly 10 years ago and it was definitely time to come back. London never disappoints.
