We were lucky enough to have Maria (Marysia) Miazdzyk with us for a month. She is an assistant professor at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, where she is about to defend her PhD thesis “Estimation of corneal light scattering parameters which are independent of external factors and anterior eye geometry”. She brought with her several OCT phantoms to be measured in our lab. Besides sharing coding methodologies, she also had the chance to change gears and do some experimental work (in one of the pictures, using the confocal microscope).
As a month is already quite some time, we even had the chance to go climbing, one of her hobbies. It was nice to share these weeks working side by side with you, Marysia. We hope you visit us again soon!
