Laura Barberán, who graduated as an optometrist from University of Zaragoza (UNIZAR), is currently pursuing her PhD at Universidad de Alicante, in Spain, under the supervision of Prof. David Piñero. She is close to finishing her PhD and got a grant from the Generalitat Valenciana to do a secondment with us for a few months.
Her research is about how circadian rhythms may affect ocular biometry. In our lab, she recruited volunteers and measured their corneal biomechanics and also used OCT to image the cornea and retina. Stay tuned for the data analysis and to see the results of her work.
