This is the annual gathering of our research institute, the Aragon Institute of Engineering Research (I3A). This year, the VISIONSAFE team actively participated in it.
- Silvia Aguilar Cortés, Master’s student in Biomedical Engineering, presented her work in an oral talk in the Biomedical Engineering Division, “Retinal microstructural changes under intraocular pressure variations: statistical speckle modelling in optical coherence tomography.”
- Ana R. Arizcuren, PhD student, presented a poster, “A validated model for correcting confounding factors in corneal densitometry.”
- Juan Casado-Moreno, PhD student, presented a poster, “Toward patient-specific mapping of early corneal alterations.”
- Pascual Sevillano, senior researcher and collaborator, presented the progress made during the last year in the IMPULSO 2025-funded project “Advanced microscopy via optical interferometric reflectometry (MARIO)”, where Alejandra Consejo participates as co-PI.
Additionally, our students Lijun (Lisa) Lin and Silvia Aguilar Cortés received their diplomas for being among the recipients of an I3A scholarship to work on their Bachelor’s thesis in Optics and Optometry and Master’s thesis in Biomedical Engineering, respectively.
